For the first few years of my walk as a believer, I really shouldn't use the word walk, as my physical health was not very stable at all. I attempted the complementary approach to health. I was going to trust G-d, use herbs and supplements, and mainstream medicine, only in an emergency. Fortunately, my husband at the time was very supportive, even though he had amazing insurance coverage. It only took a couple of serious MS exacerbations to realize the flaw in my theology.
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet,
until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to YHWH, but to the physicians. And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his
reign. II Chronicles 16:12-13
The account of King Asa brought serious light to the fact, our Creator doesn't have to work in tandem with any modern mainstream method. According to His Word, He did create herbs for our service and oils, but He can heal without those as well. For me to have trusted my "emergency condition" to the wisdom of man was outright rebellion. With my husband's great insurance plan, hospital coverage was amazing, the co-pay was $5.00 for a 90 day supply, while natural supplements and herbs, were of course, not covered at all. The first month of supplements was more expensive than our deductible and copay. The expense went down of course, but it was never less than the copay for pharmaceuticals.
Upon leaving mainstream medicine, once and for all, the initial cost of natural health seemed astronomical! In time, however; my body began to strengthen. I'm not healed of MS, but it's been over 12 years ago that I parked my wheelchair and nearly a decade since I began homesteading. What I also noticed, is the fact that I take fewer supplements and have less need of herbal remedies as my body has strengthened, the water I drink is untreated, and my diet is organic. Once I stopped putting chemicals into my body, my health improved. I have no idea what mainstream medicine would cost now, to compare.
Many folks are now even taking prescriptions to counteract side effects of other prescriptions, but still see the co-pay as more economical than paying the full price of natural remedies. It may be more economical for the pocketbook right now, but the price will be high over long term health. The health care industry isn't going to give up their cash cow, regardless of the danger to the people.
Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries . . .

The Herd
One of the saddest things about our so called progress is the herd mentality. We can call it "community" or we can call it compassion for others, but the reality is, the herd mentality has caused some very serious problems and created a dependency upon a very discompassionate system. For the most part, logic has been removed as we submit to the programming. I can tell you from personal experience, anyone who would dare think outside the box will be an outcast.
It's interesting to consider history for just a moment. Before our society dictated that we all needed to be programmed with the same information, immunized for everything in which a vaccine has been formulated, and established all sorts of "help agencies," humanity was still sustained. As a matter of fact, it was sustained with dignity! Before information programming, we actually had inventors, artists, and composers. Before immunizations, some people did die, and some people die from immunizations. The Baby Boomer generation is the first to be immunized . . . and the first generation to have a large percentage of disability long before retirement age.
The herd mentality is being used to diminish the herd.
Bill Gates seems to confirm the danger of vaccines

It's In the Water
The title of this article is an old saying that has covered everything from kids acting out to a high number of pregnancies, in a concurrent time frame. It's time to really consider just what is in the water.
http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/water/water-toxins
A couple of years ago, some cities did some testing to check for levels of pharmaceuticals in the water supply. Although pharmaceutical levels were found in many city's water supply, it was deemed to be "at safe levels." How can any level of pharmaceuticals prescribed and possibly passed through another individual, be found safe for general consumption?
The fish in the Great Lakes have been showing very serious symptoms and it is considered to be due to spillover from water treatment plants in the area.
It's also proven that anti-bacterial soap is causing mutation in bacteria resulting in Super-bugs!
Much bottled water is simply tap water in plastic. I'm posting an old article, because we know, the problem has only become magnified and the issues multiplied since it was written.

It's seriously time to take our water supply seriously!

AWARENESS
Media has been inundated with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which has caused a flood of comments from various perspectives. The first challenge to the challenge I read was from those against stem cell research. I jumped into that particular frey which produced a comment from someone who had taken the "challenge" and donated to a non-stem cell research program.
Next came the report that this act was some sort of satanic ritual, and stemmed from pagan roots. It does in some ways make me think of some sort of counterfeit or mock baptism . . .
Basically, just about everything going on in the world today is questionable. Sadly, much of the questionable is believed and embraced, while the truth is ignored and discounted. Since I already consider (pharmaceuticals) to be pagan, I didn't feel the need to go looking for satan in what's trending.
The challenge that came to me has to do with the point of raising awareness. ALS, formerly known as Lou Gehrig's disease is not contagious, there is no cure, and the cause is unknown. Now, if this was a communicable disease, awareness might help stop it, but it isn't. This awareness campaign is a business strategy to solicit funds, since Congress cut the funding. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/20/lawmakers-ice-bucket-challenge_n_5696290.html
Health care is the new arm of government control and guilt obligation, without calling it taxes. A fine for mandated health insurance is going into the coffers without calling it a tax. While Americans are struggling to make ends meet, working at jobs that qualify them for food stamps and medicaid, they are willingly being degraded with a bucket of water thrown on them, for a "good cause." The government has been throwing a bucket of water on us for years, while telling us it's raining . . .
One more challenge regarding this challenge. For those who are truly using ice water on their heads. Has there been any research on the potential impact of that shock to the nervous system?

Complementary Therapies?
Complementary therapies is basically using some natural modalities in combination with conventional mainstream medicine. Alternative therapies are, as the name implies, a therapeutic regimen that does not include conventional medicine, but offers unproven alternatives. As an alternative health practitioner, I use the term "unproven." Conventional therapies are tested for FDA approval and usually exclusive patents for the pharmaceutical corporation. In alternative health, most of the modalities are either service oriented, as in hands on therapy, or products found in nature which cannot be patented.
Basically, the concept of complementary therapies is a dichotomy that doesn't come together all that well in many cases. Natural remedies usually become alternative therapies because they address the problem from a different perspective than conventional mainstream medicine. The practical rule of thumb is this: Natural remedies aim to strengthen the body's own immune system to fight whatever the attacking illness or disease is, while conventional medicine is formulated to attack the symptoms and/or kill the problem, sort of bypassing the body in the process. It seems cancer and autoimmune diseases tend to be at the forefront of most of the complementary therapy controversy. I know a bit about both and I'd like to share it with you.
Many autoimmune diseases are not fatal but quite debilitating. I have MS and RA. Neither have a cure. Only symptom management therapies are available. Neither are fatal disease, but can be a real pain to deal with on some days. In both cases, my disease symptoms are not nearly as bad as many others experience. Having first hand knowledge of this, I can attest that complementary treatment did not work for me. One of the biggest issues in MS is weakness, and unfortunately one of the biggest side effects for many of the treatments in MS exacerbation, is weakness, so I found myself recovering twice . . .
As for pain management, I simply cannot stand the wooziness or fear of addiction that accompanies the long term use of most pain medication. The other issue with complementary therapies, is the fact that conventional mainstream medicine has the social approval and legal power that natural remedies lack in this culture. I've been completely out of any conventional mainstream medical treatment plan in nearly a decade and a half. I left conventional treatment the first year of this millenium, and never went back. I've sure learned a lot about more alternative remedies as well as the social stigma in a Christian nation, for believing our Creator heals.
Cancer is a horrible disease and as most of us are aware, it is often fatal. The information I will share regarding cancer treatment includes a external link, as well as comments from a few people with first hand knowledge of the disease. A friend of mine, a nurse who cared for her father through his battle with cancer, using a conventional treatment plan shared with me two things. First, she said, the chemo was poison and the hope was the poison would kill the cells in the tumor before it destroyed all the healthy cells. The second thing she said was in regard to the surgery. She said the surgery is great if it gets every single cell, but if even one cell is left, it can be like a dandelion in the wind, and metastasize quickly.
Another perspective I've gained recently is the spouse of a cancer patient. They are proceeding with all conventional recommendations and including alternative remedies, only for pain management. They also were told the same thing about surgery. The patient is using all prescribed treatment methods including chemo, but fear of the disease spreading prohibited surgery. The prognosis is not good, but they continue to be hopeful . . .
A third individual recently lost their battle with the the dreaded disease, and they struggled with treatment plans through the entire battle. They opted for surgery, but postponed chemo in an attempt to use an alternative treatment plan. Sadly, the surgeries did not remove every cell and the disease spread quickly after the last surgery. Complementary therapy, as described in the article linked below clearly views alternative therapies as substandard to conventional methods. Integrative medicine is on the rise, but again conventional medicine is the flagship. Integrative medicine, to me, is the way to get more alternative modalities on the radar and under the control of conventional mainstream medicine.
None of us can make the decision for another, but in studying complementary therapy, the very real possibility exists, that a combination of conventional medicine and natural modalities could actually prove counterproductive and contraindicated.
A complementary therapy means you can use it alongside your conventional medical treatment. It may help you to feel better and cope better with your cancer and treatment. It is important to discuss with your doctor any complementary therapy that you are thinking of using.

Raw vs, Pasteurized
Raw milk has practically been demonized in the press and many organic farmers have faced horrific legal expenses. I've been drinking raw milk for nearly a decade and I'm still alive to tell it. I'm also including recipes that call for raw milk, so I encourage you to do a bit research. I found the link below to be very informative.

Health Crisis
When I connect the dots, I don't like the picture. Of course, the label of Conspiracy Theory is readily handy. Last week, the President amended President Bush's Executive Order regarding the holding and quarantine of suspected illness, to include many more vague symptoms and nameless disease. Keep in mind with HIPAA laws, if a person is detained, unless they can call you, you can't call and make inquiry about them.
Next we have nothing but programmed information about this Ebola outbreak that America is choosing to import. The last link, I find troubling on many levels. One it's in the heartland, the biggest city for miles of farmland, and Ebola is an airborne contagion. The folks at the Omaha Biocontainment Patient Care Unit are honored to be ready for this and according to the report have been "preparing for this" since 2005 . . .

http://www.ketv.com/news/ebola-outbreak-nebraska-medical-center-ready-at-moments-notice/27273206#!buIOd7
When I connect the information in these three links, and there are many more, I have to wonder . . . Is this really Preparedness for a Health Crisis or a Health Crisis Plan coming to fruition?
My suggestion to everyone is to get right with Adonai and obedient to His Word, then do everything in your power to boost your immune system. I'm no doctor and I'm not practicing medicine. I don't have a license to practice! Research natural immunity boosters. Goshen Essentials has an Essential Oil blend, as does Young Living, and Do Terra, and there are recipes and formulas all over the net for Essential Oils that enhance the immune system.
A note of caution, do not plan to take echinacea more than three weeks in a stretch, so increase the vitamins, especially Vitamin C through diet, even supplements, and take note of where you go. Use good handwashing practice, and . . . keep in mind when you make an appointment at a health clinic, you don't know what everyone in the watiing room has. Same thing if visiting in the hospital. Wash your hands, carry hand sanitizer with you.
